Newland-Heydinger Insurance BuildingNewland Insurance was founded in 1984 by Thomas Newland. They merged with Heydinger Insurance Group in October of 2014 to operate as Newland-Heydinger Insurance Agency in Kenton after 6 years of growth and the announcing of US bank leaving Kenton, the Heydinger’s thought it would be a good time to move the growing business into the bank building at 111 East Columbus Street in Kenton. Chad & Tasha Heydinger and the staff our proud to be representing the best insurance companies and able to serve the best communities in Ohio.

Orrin Smucker from Orrville, Ohio moved to Plain City in 1946 and in the 1950’s Orrin opened an office in his home representing Mennonite Mutual Aid. Soon, he added additional insurance companies, and founded Smucker Insurance Agency in 1958. Orrin’s son Ralph Smucker joined the business in 1980 and honored the values of the family insurance business. In 2022 Ralph and wife Lisa Smucker decided to merge with Chad & Tasha Heydinger with Heydinger Insurance Group who are very honored to be a part of Smucker Insurance and the growth of Plain City.
